Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Wish.com, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.

OUR OPPORTUNITY

The Sample Coordinator will support the Merchandising and Creative teams by providing excellent organizational and administrative assistance. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to learn about merchandising from the ground up. 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for facilitating the procurement, preparation, and flow of merchandise samples from pre-production to post-production. You will be an integral part of implementing streamlined sample processes to help eliminate insufficient ways of working and improve overall organization. You’ll also gain cross-functional experience in a critical behind-the-scenes role at a high growth MTC retailer!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports Merchandising team on sample management from pre-production to post-production
• Responsible for the organization of samples within limited office space - with the goal of launching ~2,000 new products, the flow of samples will become increasingly important
• Implement sample processes to help eliminate inefficient ways of working and improve overall organization
• Maintain sample dashboard - track samples, manage in-going and out-going packages and work closely with outside carriers (UPS, FedEX, DHL) when additional tracking is needed
• Fulfill sample shipment requests quickly and accurately, confirming tracking information and ETAs with key stakeholders
• Responsible for unpacking in-coming packages and pulling inventory from warehouse when needed, ensuring samples are distributed to proper teams
• Garner strong cross-functional relationships with the Warehouse team, partnering on office needs when applicable
• Maintain overall office organization, while ensuring the office is stocked with proper supplies at all times (racks, bins, tape, etc.)
• Support Creative team on set for photoshoots, as well as helping with any miscellaneous needs
• Implement process for purging samples and donations
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

• Completed Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 1 years of retail experience preferred
• Highly organized, detail-oriented with a focus on execution, problem solving, improving processes
• Continuous learner and highly curious; always open to considering new perspectives; comfortable balancing multiple priorities and pivoting with last minute changes
• Enjoys a fast-paced environment and has a high sense of urgency
• Performance driven and performance motivated - gets results and likes being in a culture that values performance
• Proficient with MS Office/ G Suite applications including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Experience working with UPS, FedEx and DHL carriers
